The Hive India

The Hive India is a startup fund specifically focused on Big Data, launched by Patni siblings, Amit and Arihant Patni. The Patnis built an IT outsourcing business, Patni Computer Systems, as one of the early adopters of technology in India. Since getting a successful exit from Patni Computer Systems, Amit and Arihant Patni have been backing innovations in the technology space. The Hive has funded organizations across industries like financial services, insurance, industrials, retail, health, and telco.

Unilazer Ventures

Unilazer Ventures is an India focused private equity and venture capital firm which specializes in early and late-stage investments. This fund is promoted by Ronnie Scewvala. Ronnie Screwvala is one of India’s most successful first-generation entrepreneurs, having built UTV from scratch which was acquired by Disney. The Unilazer’s team has experience in building and scaling consumer and media businesses in the past 30 years. With the amount of experience of the team, they have invested in ventures across healthcare, micro finance, F&B, education, agri-led and eCommerce.

Thomas C. Barry

Mr. Thomas C. Barry is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Zephyr Management, L.P., an investment management company which he founded in 1994. Zephyr’s private equity funds have invested in Mexico, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Africa (Kingdom Zephyr Africa Management Company) and India. Prior to founding Zephyr, Mr. Barry was President and CEO of Rockefeller & Co., the investment management arm of the Rockefeller family, from 1983 to 1993. Mr. Barry received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1969 and an undergraduate degree from Yale University in 1966.

Mr. Barry is currently a Director for the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a Trustee of the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and the University School in Ohio. Mr. Barry also serves on the Yale University President’s Council on International Affairs and the Dean’s Council for Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Shivraj Mundy

Shivraj is a senior financial services executive who has led multiple business units using analytics to drive business strategy. He holds several key positions at LL Funds LLC, Fuel Capital Group, Dividend Finance and OfferPad as Board member. He also ventured into auto finance, was Managing Director – JPMIS and President of Mass Affluent Credit Cards division of JPMorgan Chase, which is one of the largest portfolios of the bank. His past experiences were at HSBC, Equity Guaranty LLC, Capital One, and McKinsey & Co.

Shivraj has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Secil Baysal

Secil is a professional and entrepreneur focusing on high-growth and disruptive businesses in payments, credit, and consumer financial services. Currently, he is the President & COO at FastPay, a leading next-gen lending and payment company for digital economy. He has previously led the US business for Wonga – a digital finance company. He was also an early management team member at Green Dot Corp – GDN is a leading cash reload/top-up network in the US – and managed the Green Dot Network (GDN). His other experiences included stints at Capital One and at McKinsey. Secil is an active investor and advisor at Collective Spark, a seed/early stage fund in the Turkish market.

Secil has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Bosphorus University (Turkey).

Himanshu Nagpal

Himanshu is a seasoned financial services executive who is deeply passionate about using analytics to drive bottom-line impact. He is currently Deputy Director at Bill & Melinda gates Foundation. He has previously worked as a Director of Marketing Strategy & Analytics at Capital One. His experiences include strategic planning at Intel Corporation, driving analytics-based trading decisions at DC Energy and leading customer acquisitions at multiple business units within Capital One. Prior to these, he worked at Schlumberger and Arthur Andersen.

Himanshu has an MBA from University of Pennsylvania – the Wharton School and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi.
